Redevco is delighted to announce that BouSham Pop Up Gallery is opening at 14 Hanningtons Lane in July. BouSham is the concept of local Brighton artists Clair Boubli and Shyama Ruffell and their collaborative approach and sense of style creates an exciting addition to Brighton’s new retail and cultural quarter.

Clair and Shyama have known each other since they were 5 and worked together on various pop up projects in the South East over the years. For Hanningtons Lane, they are collaborating with 17 outstanding local artists to provide customers with an eclectic mix of original paintings, prints and cards, sculpture, hand-made beauty products, jewellery, decorative ceramics, vintage collectables, glassware and homeware.

Shyama Ruffell comments, “The artists have been chosen because their exceptional work fits our aesthetic and ethos of traditional craftsmanship and materials. 14 Hanningtons Lane will be somewhere we would love to shop – it will bring so many exquisite pieces to the general public.

“Our approach is very much like Brighton’s Artist’s Open Houses, something my family has been involved with for decades. It will allow the public to buy direct from artists in a really unique space and location. If you haven’t explored Hanningtons Estate yet, we’d love to see you when we open the doors next month.”

Sarah Lulham, Asset Manager at Redevco comments, “Many of our stores are re-opening later this month and we have plans to ensure that shoppers return safely and once again find pleasure in browsing The Lanes. To me BouSham epitomises everything that is wonderful and different about Brighton! If you want to be inspired and buy something truly beautiful, you need to pay Clair and Shyama a visit.”

Further details of the 17 artists and their work will be posted on instagram over the coming weeks: hanningtonsestate and BouSham
